Your stories matter
(Short film animation) Not just the big ones, but the tiny tales too. The stuff that helps us feel seen, heard and less alone. Your stories matter. Your voice matters.
This video was originally created as a VR experience for the Lifeline Bookfair, which was stunning. But this flat version is still lovely & immersive. It was created by Coordinate, Canberra & I was asked to do the voice-over.Â
Enjoy being swept away into the gorgeous animation and be reminded that your stories matter.Â
And honestly, they don't always have to be the dark, heavy, extra-vulnerable tales (although we need them too), sometimes it's just nice to know we're not the only ones that swear at the self-checkout or can never find the matching sock, (where do they go??) or that on a Friday night we'd rather hang out with our pets than people. Or that we spend longer choosing what to watch on Netflix, than actually watching it. Or that we almost always second guess where the punctuation goes, even when we should know better. (Looking at you, apostrophes.)
Or that showing up is hard.Â
That even if it looks easy, or like we do things effortlessly... it's not and we don't.Â
We're in it together. In all this humanness and our stories show us we're not alone.
This is lovely 🥰
Beautifully put.
The daily joys, the daily frustrations, the moments, the music, the laughing, the cursing: the little moments that make up the bigger part of our lives.
