This hits hard for me right now. I go through phases where everything is logjammed and I start to lose whole days. The last time I felt like this, I wrote about it: https://thedispatches.substack.com/p/the-three-stooges-syndrome

This time, you wrote about it. Very kind of you.

Oh I love that! Such a cool example of this issue too. The amount of stuff I *wouldn’t* get done because of how much I *wanted* to do was ridiculous. So relieved I can recognise it more often now. (Re: Simpsons - that’s a bit like me with Seinfeld - there’s a reference for pretty much anything.)

PS love your work - just subscribed.

This pleases me very much.

Funny story -- way back in my early teens, I remember having to make the choice between Simpsons and Seinfeld, because they were both on at the same time every night. I liked Seinfeld, but I liked Simpsons more. Thus I chose the path that would ultimately leave me feeling like a Seinfeld outsider forever.

How funny, especially considering we’re taking about making choices. Not too late! An episode or 2 a night & you’ll be one of us in no time.

Love this Keeley. When I first created my affirmations a few years ago I chose one that was ‘my mind is full of amazing ideas’, but it wasn’t actually something I needed to affirm. Now, I think of all the ideas as little fireflies, I let them glow around me and don’t try and catch them, they’re all gorgeous and exciting but I try to choose carefully just a few to follow 💛 I adore the idea being different animals of a carousel 🎠 too. Such a beautiful analogy

I love this analogy, I can picture all of those beautiful fireflies flitting and flirting. I envision my ideas as iridescent bubbles that need to rest on an outstretched palm

Oh how beautiful Kate, if you try to hard to catch them, the could pop, so best be gentle 😍

Thanks Keeley. Very well expressed. That carousel ride is a doozey isnt it and the music can get a bit off key at times. 👍
