Listen now (28 min) | Are you already sitting on testimonial gold? Most people know testimonials are powerful and know they need them. The problem is getting them. I wanted to make an episode to hopefully spark ideas on where you could go seeking out some magical words without waiting for all your wonderful clients to get back to you! Thank you so much for sharing your advice, Keeley. I’ve always resisted posting testimonials, I’m not sure why, it just didn’t feel right (I’m British btw) but I see them in a completely different way now. Brilliant podcast!
Hey Nicola! Thank you that made my day. Do you think it felt like bragging? Do Brits struggle with that in a similar way to Aussies? We often default to putting ourselves down so testimonials can kind of feel arrogant or something. At least that’s how I felt many years ago when I started out. 🤍 But now it just feels normal, I don’t think twice. 🙈
I don’t know how you do it, but you make this feel so easeful and fun, instead of cringy and icky! I now want to go find all the lovely things people have said and share them 💛 would you ask permission before sharing someone’s words? Or perhaps use just their first name? I do have some beautiful words that make me so happy but I feel odd about asking them..
Thank you, that’s lovely to hear! If I’m using someone’s full name, I’ll ask permission. If it’s just first name then there’s no need. If you’re attaching someone’s photo to it then I’d ask permission & same with video. 💗
